About MeFirst, let me tell you what I am not. I am not a doctor, or a medical researcher. I am in no way affiliated with any such person. In fact, I spent a good part of my younger years avoiding doctors, much to my later regret. I am a long-term allergy sufferer. I was born with certain food allergies and asthma. Going to the doctor with my mom to get shots are among my earliest memories. Too bad I didn't continue the practice as a adult. I had been a long-distance runner (with many 10k's under my belt) and an avid outdoorsman in spite of my medical history. It was during my mid to late 40's that I began to develop breathing and sinus problems which curtailed some of my outdoor activities. These problems started out as acute, and might have remained so had I not tried to cut corners and self-medicate myself. I live in New York City. As you can imagine, large cities have tons of air-borne irritants that can trigger an allergy or sinus attack. But I've also spent considerable time in Upper New York State. The "country" has more than it's share of triggers that plague the alllergy and sinus sufferer. This site was created to give people a "heads-up" as far as what not to do regarding nasal spray addiction and sinus infection treatment. In any case, I wish you all the best as you progress on your own personal journey with this disease. Hopefully, if this simple site has inspired even one person to avoid my mistakes and deal with sinusitis in the proper manner, it will have done its job. Reginald E.
