First, let me tell you what I am not. I am not a doctor, or a medical researcher. I am in no way affiliated with any such person. In fact, I spent a good part of my younger years avoiding doctors, much to my later regret.
I am a long-term allergy sufferer. I was born with certain food allergies and asthma. Going to the doctor with my mom to get shots are among my earliest memories. Too bad I didn’t continue the practice as a adult.
I had been a long-distance runner (with many 10k’s under my belt) and an avid outdoorsman in spite of my medical history. It was during my mid to late 40′s that I began to develop breathing and sinus problems which curtailed some of my outdoor activities. These problems started out as acute, and might have remained so had I not tried to cut corners and self-medicate myself.
